Cozy October Greetings!

"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."

-Andy Warhol

Happy October greetings to our friends! Tis the season of change and all things spooky. While the leaves change and fall, don't overlook them so soon. We've recently become enlightened that a decaying leaf can be just the beginning of a macro photographer's own canvas. We stumbled across the world of Kutub Uddin, a slime mold photographer located in West Sussex, England. Even if the sound of 'slime-mold' doesn't appeal to you at first, you may find yourself unable to look away from Kutub's fascinating macro photographs! While we're all enjoying the autumn scenery of pumpkins, cornstalks, and foliage, Kutub keeps his sharp eyes focused down toward the forest floor. There, a whole world beyond our imagination lies.

DIY Digitizing Workshop

Fall-oween Frame Inspo

The fall season is finally here and it seems there are always two different people when it comes to October! Half anticipate Halloween year round like it's a lifestyle; they have gravestone and ghost tattoos, black cats at home, and have their next Halloween costume figured out by February.  The other half are quieter welcomers to the changing foliage, cozy meal gatherings, and spice scented candles. Sometimes, a lot of us are both of these types.

No matter where you land on the fall-oween spectrum, something about the chilly season gets us all in the mood to reflect it in our decor. We have plenty of tasteful frame mouldings to fit whichever style you claim.

Feeling more horror? Earthy, gourd-like tones? Deep black to honor the velvety nights?

Come by and take a peek at our selection in store!

How To Make A Collage Wall

It's been awhile since we shared a "How-To" article! And with gathering season upon us, it's time to finally tackle that collage wall you've been procrastinating on. You keep looking at all that wall space above your couch, in your stairway, or by the dining room table, and guess what? It's looking right back at you! (We're guilty, our walls at home are bare too...)

It can feel daunting to put a collage wall together. Where does one begin when they have dozens of photos they need printed and no plan for sizes, frames, and such? We're happy to help with the printing and framing parts, and can even mat odd sized prints to fit odd sized frames. But then comes the fun of hanging it all.

Click the link below for a guide we found that takes you step by step to get there! From planning the layout, to hanging each frame. Your wall will be bare no more just in time for your next holiday gathering.
