Hello, June!
“June is the gateway to summer.” -Jean Hersey
June marks the end of the school year, the first days of summer, and the best time for being outside. Throughout the summer we'll take pictures by the hundreds, running through sprinklers, and canon-balling in the pool. A photographer sure to inspire some fun compositions- should you especially find yourself by the beach- would be Sarah Lee, an underwater photographer based in Hawaii. She captures the impossible beauty of the surf, both above and below the ocean's surface.

What's "Float-Mounting"?
Paper Spotlight: Print + Stick Wallpaper!
Diving Into Summer Frame Inspo
Float-Mount Magic
Not to be confused with a float-frame, a float-mount is a style of art mounting where we fix the art, print, or photograph to appear as if it's floating above the background surface under glass. It's visually best for artworks that go all the way to the edge of the paper. This works great also for decorative, deckled-edge pieces. The possibilities are endless! (Oh yeah- and you DO still get to choose a mat color for the background!)

Paper Spotlight: Lexjet Print + Stick
If you've ever had the idea of wallpapering a reading nook, office corner, or a bathroom wall with your artwork, we have just the thing for the job: Print and Stick! It's actually exactly what it sounds like. We print your digital artwork onto an adhesive fabric paper that's made for sticking to walls with a super clean removal. It's something unique we find ourselves amused to offer alongside our finer quality paper choices, and for that reason, we're not sure how many people know we even have it... so that's why we made it our spotlight item for the month of June!

Our Picks: Summer Frame Inspo
The time has come to select our favorite frame samples to ring in the summer season. When we think of summer, we think of bright driftwood textures, rich blues and greens, sunny golds, and well... a bit of everything apparently! We have plenty to choose from that perfectly reflect this abundant season. So if you've got a project that you've been meaning to have framed, stop in and try a few samples off our frame-corner wall. Just know, choosing a frame is meant to be a fun experience which can take a bit of thoughtfulness. It's always a good idea to give yourself time to enjoy the process when you come in!

Store Hour Changes
Saturday June 21, 10a-2pm
Friday June 27, CLOSED
If you're new to the Giclée Printing and Framing scene, it's important to know that our shop in the Indian Orchard Mills has NO air conditioning! This means temps in our space will often rise well into the 80's during the summer months. If we're too overheated in the shop, we will close early, or close entirely during hotter heatwaves. As the days start to heat up, it's encouraged to call ahead to make sure we're home! Appointments can be scheduled for time sensitive pick-ups and drop-offs.
We'll always share closure updates on social media, so make sure to give us a follow:
June Art Prompt Calendar
An art prompt is a great way to break free from a creative block. Prompts can often be a single word, lighting a spark for other creative ideas. In every monthly newsletter, we'll include a fresh calendar full of daily art prompts for our creative subscribers who could use a nudge of inspiration. We'd love to see what you come up with, so make sure to tag us on the socials if you share your art!

One last thing: Thank you for reading!
